Magnum and a new client, Lydia McCarthy (Julia Montgomery) meet at the King Kamehameha Club to discuss her case, which involves a former family chauffeur who allegedly stole a string of pearls. They are having difficulty coming to an agreement on who's drinking what, exasperating Rosine, the waitress in the meantime.
